Dr. Amy Beumer was one of the best human beings anyone has ever had the opportunity to know. As her husband stated “That she loved me and was the light of my life makes me one of the luckiest people on Earth.” She possessed an unwavering dedication to knowledge, truth, and the importance of making both accessible to others. In the classroom, through her advocacy, and in her personal relationships, she devoted her life to educating, uplifting, and improving the lives of those around her. Her legacy lives on in the countless students she inspired, the individuals and communities for whom she tirelessly advocated, and the family and friends whose lives were enriched by her love, wisdom, and unwavering support.
Amy advocated for METAvivor until her very last days. She made sure everyone lucky enough to know her knew there is no cure for MBC and that research is a matter of life and death. Her friends and family are continuing her advocacy by fundraising for METAvivor.
