Wendi Taylor

Bedford, TX

Wendi Rae Taylor (Frankenberger), 46, of Bedford, passed away on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016 surround by her family. She was born February 11, 1970 in Franklin, Pennsylvania. She was a loving daughter, caring mother, loyal friend, adoring aunt and an amazing wife. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hurst. Wendi was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert Frankenberger. Wendi is survived by her husband of 28 years, Ray Taylor, son Brennen Taylor, daughter Bailey Taylor; mother Sherrie Frankenberger, brothers Mike and Mark Ward; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Wendi lived her life as an open book. She was pure, honest, loyal, and able to see a bigger picture than most. One of her greatest strengths was developing and fostering lifelong relationships. This became more evident when she was first diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2011 and then with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer in February 2014. Wendi underwent numerous chemotherapy and radiation treatments, as well as multiple surgeries. Throughout it all, she found a voice to bring awareness to metastatic breast cancer and was an ardent advocate for additional research. Her passion ignited a fire in others that spread across states and countries.

We will celebrate Wendi’s life at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at FUMC-Hurst, 521 W Pipeline Rd., Hurst, TX 76053. The service will be live-streamed at www.fumchurst.org
