Jacqueline “Sandy” Sheppard (Tallahassee, FL) described herself as Christ Lover, Mommy of 2, Aaron’s Wife, Extreme Couponer, Breast Cancer Axx-Kicker, Florida A&M University (FAMU) Alumna x 2, and Amateur Baker. I simply call her my baby. The oldest and only girl of my three children, she has always been the responsible one. Making sure I received birthday, mother’s day or other holiday surprises and including her brothers’ names as though I wouldn’t know it was from her. alone; Mediating family conflicts in hopes that we could find a middle ground.
On July 3, 2013 (3 and a half weeks before her wedding) our lives changed forever. Sandy was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer.. Over the next 3 years, she experienced: the loss of a breast, the highs of being cancer free; the lows of finding out the cancer had metastasized (Stage IV) throughout her body, lung, kidney, brain, and more. It was the failure of her kidneys that caused her death,
On Tuesday, August 18 @ 6:32 pm in the final battle was fought. Sandy’s victory inspired others to believe, have faith and Trust in God. She leaves her husband, Aaron; two children (Calvin Jeremiah (Trey 10) and Autumn Joyce – Alexandria (2)). (Ages reported were at the time of her death in 2015).
