Beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
Patricia K. Hrobak, age 68 passed away at UAB Hospital on Sunday Feb 1st. She battled breast cancer for 24 years and put up a courageous fight. Pat had such a strong faith and trust in the lord which guided her through the challenges of life. She was an outgoing, compassionate, unselfish, strong and loving woman who will be deeply missed by her whole family. Pat was a beloved grandmother who cherished her children and grandchildren and was very involved in their lives. Pat was an active parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Montevallo, Al. She was a devout Catholic and shared her faith openly. She is survived by her husband Michael A. Hrobak, son Michael A. Hrobak Jr., daughter-in-law Courtney B. Hrobak, twin grandchildren due in May 2015, daughter Kimberly H. Bumgardner, son-in-law Michael Bumgardner Jr. and two grandchildren Charlstin R. and Mitchell A. Bumgardner. Her mother Ruth E. Maurer, two brothers Richard D. Maurer and Kevin A. Maurer and sister Bonnie M. Colonna. Pat approached life and death with dignity and grace that touched the lives of all who were blessed to know her and witness her walk with our Lord.
