Kelly Joann (Bevis) Shepherd, 35, of Franklin, IN passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, IN after a five year battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was born June 21, 1984 in Columbus, IN.
She was a graduate of Franklin Community High School and a graduate of Professional Careers Institute. She had been a dental and surgery assistant for Indiana Oral Surgery in Greenwood, IN from 2002 till 2015. She enjoyed being a homebody and spending time with her family. She married Samuel R. “Sam” Shepherd on September 20, 2003 in Nineveh, IN, he survives, and also surviving is her son Nolan G. Shepherd of Franklin, IN; her mother Cynthia (Murphy) Pedigo (Jo) of Cloverdale, IN; her father David Bevis (Rebecca) of Columbus, IN; a brother Michael Murphy (Beth) of Edinburgh, IN; sisters Kelsie Bevis, Katelyn Bevis, Karissa Bevis, Klaire Bevis; paternal grandmother Linda Breeding; maternal grandmother Janet Murphy; niece Taylor Bailey; great-nephew Knox Bailey; and many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Charles Breeding; maternal grandfather Morris Murphy and great-grandmother Mabel Burkhart.
