Jennifer Marie Flaig, age 52, died February 2, 2022, in Washington, UT. Jennifer was born on February 7, 1969 in Chicago, Ill to Judy Janeski Lamph and Clynt Ivor Lamph, deceased 1976, and adopted by Paul Bowen in 1979. She married Phil Eaton in 1997, later divorced. She married Steve Flaig in Zion National Park, UT on March 12, 2016.
Jen was a convertible niece. She loved having the sun on her face and the wind in her hair. Jennifer ran several marathons and half marathons and raised significant monies for cancer in 60-mile walks. She had more shoes than Nordstrom’s and several different careers that she loved and did well at. She obtained a double bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History from Central Michigan University, Mt Pleasant, MI. She was a CMP, CMM Certified Meeting and Incentive Travel Professional, and most recently, she obtained licensing as a Social Service Worker. Jennifer was a valued member of Crimson Counseling, a local agency providing assistance to special needs clients and families.
Jennifer’s addresses have been in cool places, some literally, like South Porcupine, ON, CA and some akin, like Las Vegas. Marrying Steve Flaig was tantamount to her catching the ‘gold ring’. She has shared her love with several dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs and of late with Dazi the wire fox terrier and Ben and Gilda, Bedlington Terriers. She found beauty in the many friendships she made with acquaintances where she lived, worked and traveled. She was a devout Christian throughout her life with a firm belief in God and His love for her. She shared that with everyone she met through her kindness and joy in life. Three months after her marriage to Steve, she found a lump in her right breast, after being told numerous years that she had dense breasts but was not offered an ultrasound to find the proverbial needle in the haystack. She became a very strong proponent of women/men getting ultrasounds and would like you to champion the same. Ultimately, she had numerous rounds of debilitating chemotherapy after a double mastectomy and 5 beautiful years of love, work and travel. She was a Fanilow and was able to meet personally with Barry Manilow after his December 4 concert at the Westgate in Las Vegas, NV.
