Holli Hoelscher Simon

Birmingham, AL

Holli Hoelscher Simon passed away September 24, 2023 at the age of 50, after a courageous 5-year battle with metastatic breast cancer. A beautiful wife, mother, daughter and friend to many who will continue to honor her legacy by living life to the fullest and loving big.

Holli leaves behind her adoring husband of 23 years, Jonathan Everett Simon, and her beautiful daughters Sarah Cahill Simon (20) and Ann Everett Simon (16) as well as her beloved golden retriever “Jojo”. She is also survived by her loving and supportive mother Barbara Stotts Hoelscher and mother-in-law Martha Ann Harper Simon. Holli also leaves behind an army of sacred friendships and work colleagues all of whom provided overwhelming love and support to Holli and her family during her fight against this dreadful disease.

Holli was an accomplished student at The University of Alabama receiving a Bachelor of Science in Accounting graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1995. She then received her Masters of Accountancy and was inducted into the Beta Alpha Psi accounting honor society. She then went on to be a highly valued working professional for PriceWaterhouseCoopers financial firm. Holli served the firm for 25 years starting as a CPA in the firm’s audit practice before transitioning into a full-time role in Human Resources.

Holli will always be known for her tremendous beauty “inside and out”. Her internal beauty was on full display in her final weeks on this earth when she used every ounce of energy left in her body, after countless surgeries, countless chemotherapy infusions, and countless radiation treatments, to support her family as well as support other newly diagnosed cancer patients within her community.

Holli’s legacy has not stopped fighting as the many people who were blessed to know Holli as well as the many people who were inspired by Holli, have donated over $50,000 to METAvivor in honor of Holli since her passing.

The blessing of a lifetime to those who knew and loved her. Rest In Peace sweet Holli!
