Helen Ewing

Helen Marie (Derby) Ewing, 82, wife of Charles F. Ewing, Sr., passed away peacefully at her home in Linfield on Friday, April 24, 2020 to MBC. She fought the battle for 10 years. When the metastatic tumors spread recently, her body could not fight the fight anymore. She never complained about her treatments and always had a positive outlook that she would beat this.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Edward F. and Mary E. (McTighe) Derby.

Helen was an avid church goer at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Spring City, PA. She had taught CCD at the former St. Clair’s Catholic church for more than 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed camping at Knoebels Grove, vacationing at Chincoteague, VA and the Outer Banks, NC. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and her puzzle books in her spare time. She also enjoyed baking.

Surviving along with her husband Charles of 61 years, are her children Charles F. Ewing Jr. (Susan) of Royersford and Patricia A. Ewing (Michael DiSabatino) of Royersford; sister Jane Derby; grandchildren Shannon Yeagley (Brian), Marc Ewing (Dana), Steven Ewing (Ashley Clark), and Zachary Moore; great grandchildren Lillie Ewing, Ethan Ewing, Ella Ewing, Sadie Yeagley, and Stella Yeagley. She is predeceased by her two sisters Mary (Marie) Goodolf and Patricia Dillon and her brother Edward J. Derby.
