Donna M Karlis was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer on 11/12/13. After completing her treatment regimen, mastectomy, and radiation, she was given an “all-clear” in July 2014. Her recurrence was diagnosed in November of 2015. After years of treatment and fighting, Donna died from the effects of cancer metastases to her liver, lymph nodes and bones on September 17, 2017. Her health deteriorated dramatically from mid-July of 2017 to her passing.
She was a loving and doting mother of two little girls (8 and 6) and a phenomenal wife and partner for just 10 years, she was beautiful inside and out. She was a school teacher for 12+ years before having her own children, and stayed at home to care and educate them. Everyone who met her fell in love with her.
Her fight impacted us all. Her passing leaves a huge void in the lives of all who she met.
