Cheryl Lynn Erickson (Nee Zalecki), age 50, of Hudson, OH passed away peacefully on March 13, 2024 after courageously battling metastatic breast cancer for 9.5 years. Devoted wife of 16 years to Kevin Erickson. Beloved daughter of Edward and Jean (deceased) Zalecki; daughter-in-law to Norman Erickson and Billie Williams. Loving sister of Christina Scharf (Josh) and brother Thomas; sister-in-law to Gregory Erickson. Cherished aunt of Noah and Ethan. Dear niece, cousin, and friend to many.
Born on November 15, 1973, Cheryl lived here whole life in the Northeast Ohio area. She was a graduate of the Class of 1992 from Midpark High School and went on to achieve her MBA in 2005 from Baldwin-Wallace University.
Cher, as she was commonly called, was the epitome of strength, courage, perseverance, and kindness. Cher loved traveling and going on her yearly cruise adventures with Kevin, visiting Orlando with her family, shopping and fashion, pop culture (especially “Friends” and Britney Spears!), holiday decorating, her beloved Cleveland Cavaliers, playing volleyball, spoiling her nephews, and spending time with family and friends. Her most cherished role in life was being a “momma” to her beloved Labrador Retriever, Brady.
