We have started the research grant selection process for our 2014 awards. We have some wonderful proposals in hand – but how many will we fund? That depends on you, our supporters.
Our scientific review board of career metastatic cancer researchers and oncologists specializing in cancer metastasis will carefully evaluate and score every proposal that we receive. We want to fund as many of the deserving applications as we can. The top scoring applications will be funded – until we run out of money.
Our supporters are raising money for metastatic breast cancer research in creative, fun ways. While we of course appreciate the big dollar donations - $1,000, or $50,000 – we know that every dollar helps. You don’t have to climb a mountain or run a marathon – simple events work too. You can ask a local restaurant to host a happy hour or special evening where a portion of proceeds goes to METAvivor. Ask if you can sell your super brownies one morning at your neighborhood coffee shop. Why not forego birthday or holiday presents and suggest donations to METAvivor? When you give to METAvivor, you are assured that 100% of what you donate goes directly to the researchers who are trying to save our lives.
