This week we meet Valencia Robinson, an early stage breast cancer patient and English teacher who has become a great friend to METAvivor. Valencia lives in Daytona Beach, Florida and is often seen at conferences and retreats supporting metastatic patients.

Today’s blog comes from the Vice President of Metavivor and Director of Finances. Patrick Quinn is the husband of Lisa Cooper Quinn, a stage IV metastatic patient with the BRACA mutation. Together with Kelli Davis they head up the largest national fund raiser for metastatic breast cancer, the North West Arkansas Metsquerade.

Most of you know that I am a blogger in addition to being the Editor. What you may not know is that my husband, Tim, also blogs. Recently he wrote a blog that seemed to resonate within my own metastatic community so I thought I would share it with you all here. It touches on many of our concerns right now.
Last week we were fortunate to hear from Karin Petrocelli and her passion for fund raising for Metavivor. Karin entered hospice in December 2019 with the support of her beautiful daughters and husband Vinnie. This week we are again fortunate to hear from her husband Vinnie about care giving and what he has learned in recent years from his partnership with Karin, a true letter of love.

This blog post is by METAvivor board member Karin Petrocelli. Despite entering hospice care in December 2019, Karin has persevered and run this year's Southwest Florida Metsquerade which has raised nearly $200,000 for research in 2018 and 2019. We love the passion of our volunteers and their desire to fund research for metastatic breast cancer. Karin defines, with grace and humility, the very best of the best.
