Advocacy in Action: Rep. Morelle Champions Cancer Drug Parity and MBC Access to Care

In a heartfelt video message shared at the Stage IV Stampede Advocacy Breakfast, Representative Joe Morelle spoke as both a legislator and a grieving father, having lost his daughter to breast cancer. He emphasized the urgent need to support those living with metastatic breast cancer through increased research, compassionate care, and policy change.

Rep. Morelle highlighted two critical bills: the Cancer Drug Parity Act, which ensures fair insurance coverage for oral cancer medications, and the Metastatic Breast Cancer Access to Care Act, which would eliminate harmful waiting periods for SSDI and Medicare.

Your advocacy is vital to helping patients overcome barriers to care and access the treatment they need, when they need it. Together, we can drive meaningful change and honor the lives of those we’ve lost by fighting for those still in the fight.
