Nicole became passionate about supporting METAvivor after her mother and cousin were diagnosed with MBC in 2020. She also has a grandmother and aunt who have had earlier stage breast cancer. Nicole led some of METAvivor’s largest fundraising events. While on the Board, she also led initiatives such as planning and executing the first Strategic Summit for the Board of Directors, including developing a documented strategic growth plan with tangible action items. She served on the Executive Committee during her time on the Board and led the process for revising various policies to improve fundraising guidelines/strategies and to enhance the allocation of funds to internal operations to support sustainable growth for the organization. She continues to do philanthropic work in the MBC space. She is passionate about highlighting the disparities within breast cancer research funding and educating people about their breast cancer risk, the recommended screening guidelines, and steps people can consider to reduce their risk of breast cancer.
