METAvivor Signs On to Remove Financial Barriers to Clinical Trials

METAvivor has joined 128 other patient advocacy groups, public health organizations, and professional societies in urging the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to remove financial barriers to clinical trial participation.

The letter calls for clearer protections that would allow clinical trial sponsors to help cover costs such as travel, lodging, and other out-of-pocket expenses. These costs can create significant barriers to participation, particularly for patients in rural and low-income communities.

Clinical trials are critical to advancing new treatments, and patients should not be excluded because of the financial burden of participating. METAvivor is proud to support efforts that make clinical research more accessible and equitable.
