Pamela (Caul) Piette

Renton, WA

Pamela did it all. She was a daughter, a friends, an athlete, an adventurer, a wife, a survivor, and her proudest achievement, a mother. Pam was born in New York state, May 1971, to Nadine and Arthur Caul. She had two older sisters, Deborah and Bonnie. She graduated from SUNY Buffalo, with a business major, and worked in marketing in downtown Manhattan. Her spirit of adventure soon brought her to San Francisco, were she enjoyed countless nights out with countless friends. She met her husband, Adam Piette on one of those nights. They soon got married and had a child, Mason. She loved being pregnant. She was once pulled over by the police and used her pregnant belly, faking labor pains, to get out of the ticket. That was Pam: fun, spirited, playful.

After Pam’s first bout with breast cancer (invasive ductal adenocarcinoma), they moved to Seattle for family support. Pam was not deterred, and continued to travel the world and found amazing adventures in Argentina, Thailand, Scotland, Italy, Canada, and Hawaii. When her metastatic cancer resurfaced (almost a triple negative, HER2-, low ER+), Pam continued to move forward and found life in art, particularly collaging. She met many new friends. She survived the COVID epidemic while getting chemotherapy for almost 2 years. When her end was near, she accepted her fate and passed quickly, late August, 2024 surrounded by family and loved ones.

Pam had an amazing life, she was a shining star, flying over the world. I’m so glad we all were a part of it.
