Bernice (Dee) Waldron Sarnosky, 52 passed away peacefully on May 17, 2016 at her home in Stafford, Virginia. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters ultimately gave her peace.
Dee had a gentle soul, contagious smile, and a loving and generous heart. Dee lived her life to the fullest through such simple pleasures as riding her Harley motorcycle with her husband and HOG chapter friends, as well as spending time chatting and laughing With family and friends. She was a 1982 graduate of Petersburg High school. She served honorably as a U.S. Marine and a soldier in the U.S. Army (Reserve). She spent more than 27 years with the federal government working in many positions for the Department of Defense with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) as an External Audit Liaison where she received the Superior Civilian Service Award for exhibiting a professionalism that reflected well on the agency.
Dee is survived by her loving husband, MSG John Sarnosky (USA RET); son, Cpt Nicholas Dunn (USA) (Roxy); daughter, Sachiko Al-Natour; granddaughter, Naicy Dunn; brother, Francis Waldron Jr.; sister, June Heath (Ronnie); brother, Joseph Waldron; brother, John Waldron; several nieces and nephews; Becky Towns, battle buddy; and countless friends who helped her throughout this journey.
