Erin Grant was diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer in 2009 at the young age of 31. She endured years of unrelenting treatment. Erin was told by her first Oncologist that she would be lucky to make it to 34. In June of 2017, Erin ran out of treatment options.
Erin was passionate about raising money to METAvivor in an effort to make metastatic breast cancer a chronic disease instead of a terminal disease. Meeting other survivors and hearing their stories propelled her to move forward. By sharing her story, she inspired those who loved her and many whom she had never met. Her passion as a breast cancer advocate allowed her to take back the power that had unknowingly let cancer take away from her during her long fight with metastatic breast cancer.
Even through cancer, Erin’s light shined through. She taught us to be grateful for each day, encouraged us to be our own health advocate, inspired us to search for a “yes” in a sea of “no’s” and to live life to the fullest!
Erin will be remembered by her incredible strength, bravery, exceptional sense of humor, kind heart, beauty, tenacity, smile and fearlessness. She will forever be missed and was loved by so many.
