It is with overwhelming sadness that the family of Heather Rachel Sabella announces her passing on Friday, August 10, 2018, at home in Ramsey, NJ. Despite a valiant battle, Heather succumbed to metastatic breast cancer at the age of 45. Heather grew up in Middletown, NJ, attended Middletown HS South, and graduated from the University of New Hampshire. After college, Heather moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where she made lasting friendships and met her husband, Bill. Heather had a joyous personality, was all about family and friends, and making her home a welcome meeting place. She loved all things outdoors, especially skiing, but was truly passionate about music and acting. She studied for many years in George DiCenzo’s Master Class, and her notable roles on stage included May (Fool for Love), Miss Scoons (Angel City), and her proudest moment as Velma Van Der Schmerr (The Schmerr Campaign). Heather also worked professionally as a wine consultant in the tri-state area. Heather was a devoted wife and mother and will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband, Bill Ogg, daughters Isabella and Abigail, parents Thomas and Karen Sabella, brother Adam, sister-in-law Laura Compagni-Sabella, nephew Henry, niece Hazel, mother-in-law Jean Ogg, and her countless other loved ones and friends. We miss you sweet girl and all the sunshine you spread. Dance forever on.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Heather’s name to https://metavivor.org/, an organization close to her heart that raises awareness of and provides funding for metastatic breast cancer research.
