LuAnne Gilbert Worley, 58, of Pine Mountain, GA died peacefully November 29, 2015 at her home. She was born October 5, 1957 in Siler City, NC to Louie Gilbert and Frances (Summerlin) Gilbert. LuAnne was raised in McDonough, GA and graduated from McDonough Christian Academy. She went on to get a Degree from Berry College and a Masters from West GA College. Her career began with the GA Department of Education in Atlanta. She completed her 30+ years of state service as Human Resources Director of the GBI for 12 years until her retirement in 2011. LuAnne loved to travel and took numerous trips with her husband throughout North America and Europe. She was also very athletic, completing a marathon and several triathlons during her lifetime. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pine Mountain. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Terry Worley; mother, Frances Gilbert of McDonough, GA; brother, Gene Gilbert of Rex, GA; sister Martha (Brad) Oleson of Barrow, AK.
