Elizabeth Finley Stevens, beloved wife and mother, left us on April 1, 2023 at her home in Northville, MI.
Elizabeth was the beloved wife of Tom and devoted mother of McKenzie (12) and TJ (11). Daughter of Dan (Rose) Finley and Ginny DeCoursey. Sister of Lindsey (Michael) Anderson. Preceded in death by her Brother, John Finley. Also survived by over 100 loving Aunt’s, Uncle’s, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews.
From growing up in Naperville, IL, to studying at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), to living and working all over the country, and finally to devoting every moment of her time to her kids and their passions, Elizabeth touched so many along the way. She loved playing tennis, she tried playing golf, and valued family and friend time over all else. The family ski trips were particularly important, simply riding the chair lift while McKenzie and TJ talked about their runs were some of her favorite moments. She enjoyed spending time in Naples and Charleston, loved being on the water, and was a beach girl at heart.
Her laughter lit up a room. Her smile would melt your heart. She always knew what to say, and never hesitated to say it. She was a beautiful soul, and left us way too soon. Elizabeth died very peacefully, and surrounded by family. Her children got to see how strong she was.
